Our trip to Lapland, Part 2

Back on the (rainy) road!

So, the rain seemed to be following on us. But that’s a normal Finnish fall, so it didn’t bother us. Of course it would’ve been nicer with the sun shining and all!

We continued heading North, from Ii to Enontekiö. The road followed the border of Finland and Sweden, and it was a bit boring -I mean just driving forward, with no curves or turning. So I guess we could’ve choosed a better way, but somehow we felt like getting to Enontekiö real fast!

Lapland is full of rapids!

At this point we also crossed the Arctic Circle. There was some tourist café and a souvenir shop, but we didn’t really want to go any near of those places. If you’re going to visit Lapland, don’t ever, ever go anywhere where they advertise souvenirs with big signs. It’s the same crap you can buy anywhere in Finland -only more expensive.

"The weather of Lapland; If the coat of a reindeer is wet; it is raining. If the coat is dry; it is fair. If the coat is moving; it is windy. If it doesn't move; it's calm. If the coat has snow on it; it is winter."

Soon we would reach the real nature of Lapland; I couldn’t wait!

The story continues in part three.
